We dont want no Thoughts Control??
My background is in engineering and Separation Processes in production of all chemicals can be considered to be my specialty. So , I was thinking of Separation Processes in daily life. How I wish I had some filtration device for my mind. Just take out/separate thoughts or people that you don't want or deserve your mindspace and dump them outside. Can thoughts be controlled? Is it possible to pinpoint just relevant thoughts, possible to change the frequency of stray thoughts? That certainly would be a great subject of research. Yogis have been known to master this art by meditating. So what exactly are they doing technically? Are they steering their thoughts in such a way that blood flow reaches just one particular region of brain and other regions face subdued activity? How can you block out impulses to certain regions of the brain though? I am really curious about their art/skill now. When doctors/scientists try to explain miracles, some strong believers rubbish them saying that man is too low a being to explain supernatural phenomena. But weren't the yogis exceeding that limit too? By not just being able to fathom the deep secrets, but by using them and having the power to tweak thoughts? Why doesn't anyone blame them..?
Mysterious Blogger!
Why is psuedo name or "blog name" so popular in blogsphere? Is the sexy and mysterious appeal the common motive or are there deeper reasons? You want people to care only about your writing and not as a person...or are you afraid people will judge you in daily life based on your blog entries?
Are psuedonom bloggers afraid of the impression they create? Or you don't want any baggage from blogging to stalk you into your real life? Does that mean your real persona is different from you literary one? Do they want people to know about their life only through what they write and want no one to do any background check (read Google) on them?.
There is definitely some issue of credit in here. And it is ironic that the best creative blogs I know of are by "pen name" bloggers and the most shameful directly lifted one I read.the writer/s had no issue whatsoever in making their names public and infact publicise their blog with zest.

World's Largest democratic exercise!
Today's Youth are passionate about their team/players.
We see the passion in their support for Manchester Utd vs Arsenal or vice versa.
Its reflected in IPL- Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Daredevils.
Again comes forward in Federer vs Nadal.
Where is that passion when it comes to the national politics. Why are there no status messages saying Go Congress or Go BJP? Why the absolute indifference over the government that can decide your fate? You cannot control who plays for Arsenal and who wins the IPL. But YOU have the right to select the national leaders. Use your POWER. Ignorance is no longer BLISS!
We need to show the world that we are an informed set of people who are motivated enough to change things.

"Physical"/mental torture
I was at this party the other day. I am usually not the party type but I was forced to go to this one by a good friend I couldn't refuse. So I'm there sitting on this couch just fiddling with a glass of low quality beer I couldn't finish off, when this drunk girl comes and sits besides me. I was bored so just thought of starting a normal conversation. I introduced myself and to my surprise, she said she wasn't interested. She had a strong East European accent. I was pissed by her arrogant response. I was the only sober guy behaving myself in the party and I get this. So I asked her what and why she was not interested in to pique her further. She said "Your physics is not good" . I was taken aback. What the peep was she talking about? How can she possibly know about my physics and I usually boast of a good working knowledge of physics -it must be atleast few times better than this drunk rude bitch. So I responded in an agitated tone,"What physics are you talking about?" -She said--"Body..Body--You are slim." Then it dawned upon me that she was referring to physique. But still, I may not have the Sylvester Stallone body, but I was definitely not "slim". Average is acceptable. But "slim?" Slim is for girls. I left the party in anger and came back and did 10 push-ups, followed by flexing of muscles against the mirror.
Take that , bitch!.. I was contemplating hitting the gym next morning..Was it a wake-up call? What happened to the good old lean look? Are only bulky guys in vogue? --> But then, sense prevailed and I siad..F*.. it. Its all good.
Moral of the story...(1)..When in Rome, do as the Romans do..( No she was not from Italy, also Rome is not in East Europe..also Rome is not a city in California) in the sense that when you go to a party, drink ..like everyone else does...till you are in so little sense that no words or actions move you a millimetre! (2) Don't fall in to the "large guy" fetish of strange drunk white girls. Lean is in! No need to bulk up!

Zindagi kaisi ye paheli
**Is ego very different than self-respect? where is the thin line between them? Why can't I decipher that thin line?
That is the challenge one faces-to have the highest degree of self-respect without bordering in the ego zone. I don't know my exact location today, but I believe I am in the self-respect zone. Please direct me back if I have trickled down the metastable zone.
** Can memories cause a change of interests/hobbies? Perhaps, it can. I don;t understand it well but maybe the sub-conscious makes efforts to detach with memories that hurt. I think that is an interesting topic for psychological research and I am ready to volunteer as a subject if anyone is willing to carry out research in this field :)
^^ Does one mature a lot after 23? :P . I personally think I have exponentially. But then, maybe its a function of circumstances too.
I will have to end this thoroughly boring and lousy post now at this point. I need to get out of the writer's block, (and fight the subconscious tending to oppose) . I need to get one post out, and not let this one join the 20-something drafts that never saw the light of the day.

Double Dichotomy
Strange are the ways of life!
One incident I wish to forget desperately, but can't erase it from my mind. Infiltrates my mind and I have no defence, no internal security. It keeps things away from normal.
And another of a more general nature, which I strongly wish I don't forget, lest things get back to normal
These two incidents define very much the daily proceedings now, both burning in me a fire. A fire which needs direction. A fire which has to be made use of; an energy that cannot be let wasted.
