Dizzy Depths

Damned if I do, damned if I don't
My heart pushes for it, but the mind won't
Engulfed by confusion, haze of distance
A constant reiteration, its not just an instance.

Clouds of doubt hover above my sky,
A quiver of rising pain, I cannot deny.
Few moments of joy, anguish for weeks.
Was it all pure sizzle and no steak?

After every dark night comes the overpowering day
I wait for the crack of dawn and the glimmering ray.
Till then hold on the grip and let not the fingertips slip.
Calm seas never maketh goood sailors
And its nights like these that make days more precious
